I am great :)

My bassoon professor/friend/life mentor Professor Kuster says we all need an “I Am Great” file where we keep anything that we’re proud of, or that shows our accomplishments from whatever we do. I received so much positive feedback this week from some of the top bassoonists in the nation, and the world! I absolutely loved meeting and working with these bassoonists and I am so glad that each and every one of them had such a great experience at Meg Quigley :)

Some quotes taken directly out of emails sent to me from these world renowned artists:

“Dear Jacqueline - Thank you so much for your professionalism and reliable hard work as the intern at the 2012 Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Bassoon Symposium! I could tell the minute I arrived on the scene that Professor Kuster had great confidence in your abilities to handle many of the logistics for the busy 3 (really 4) days and I very quickly became impressed with your competence and positive attitude as well. I think the many world-class bassoonists and teachers, as well as students from around the country were able to relax and enjoy the activities, due to the careful attention to detail in the planning and execution of the symposium, and you were a key person in carrying our those details. It takes an incredible amount of energy to sustain an event like ours that is non-stop for three days, and you rose to the occasion and surpassed expectations. You clearly have a bright future in music management. I hope you will continue enjoying the bassoon too, and perhaps I can hear you play next time!

Thanks again for your excellent behind-the-scenes and behind-the-camera work last weekend.”

- Kristin Wolfe Jensen, Professor of Bassoon - University of Texas at Austin

“Jacqueline: Thanks for your note and kind words. I want to thank you and the rest of the MQVC team for delivering such a first rate experience. I was proud to be a part of it! I can only see bright things ahead in your future, and know that you are in great hands with Nic.”

- Rod Ackmann, Associate Professor of Bassoon - University of Missouri

“Hi Jacqueline - You were a wonderful presence and your photos are really fantastic! Thanks for making this a spectacular experience. I look forward to the next time we meet!”

- Nadina Mackie Jackson, Professor of Bassoon - University of Toronto

“Dear Jacqueline - Thanks for the email, and all you did to make MQVC such an enormous success. Thanks again, and I send my best regards.”

- Ben Kamins, Professor of Bassoon - Rice University

“Jacqueline, thank you so much for your wonderful work at the
conference!  I really appreciate your help and think that you did an
amazing job.”

- Amy Marinello, Professor of Bassoon - University of Georgia

There were several more stating how much they enjoyed MQVC&S 2012 and agreed that it was an enormous success. I’m completely happy with where I am in life right now. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had, and I won’t ever forget it.
