Went in for an interview with SMG today and got it! :D I will now be interning for the general manager of Stockton Arena, Bob Hope Theater, Oak Park Arena, and Stockton Ballpark! If you don’t know what SMG is, it stands for Spectator Management Group, and is the world’s leading venue management company. They own and manage over 140 venues in several different countries, and I will be interning/working at four of these venues this semester! Professor Hatschek, my faculty/life advisor said that if I do a really good job at this internship, they might want me to stay even longer or even hire me on as an employee! It’s going to be an amazing opportunity where I’ll be able to work at most, if not all of the shows produced at the venues and I’ll probably meet some amazing people not only at SMG, but from the tours coming to the venues, such as tour managers, concert production managers, etc.! Totally stoked for this internship! I love my major. It’s totally where I fit and belong and nothing could make me happier :)
